This is how Yemenis snatch another night of love and peace, music is making our hearts up again. This night also does not need the conquerors and the defeated; it just needs listening ears and tender hearts resetting their rhythm to the flute chord. It is unfortunate, of course, that the venue of this evening is exile, either voluntary or compulsory, but of course - the Yemenis - who were able and could send our messages from under heaps of ashes, messages that are different from those sent by politics, which have failed, whereas those who have not yet been contaminated by its benefits have won.
O your beautiful hand waving, Mohammad Al-Qahoum! You are the maestro, the leader, the chief, and the de facto president of the Yemenis attending this exceptional joyful night. Yes, you were able to unite our hearts with your wonderful grooming, and your delicate and wonderful staff. How could you bring Yemen, as we loved and wanted it, on the roof of one platform, how could you?! Here you remind us of the various music of Hadramout, Aden, Sana'a and Taiz, ..., which will never hide or die, rather, here you brought such a wonderful blend of chilling songs.
Another night, no less amazing than what our junior football team made for us months ago. How not? when we were able to gather our hearts in front of the small screens, to send our united messages once again, to all the enemies of art and peace, to those who only see their guns: There is no place for you, and all of this destruction will vanish. You will not be able to twist the neck of history or strip a people of their civilization and their future.
Can you see, how the kanbous, the lute, the rebab, the tanaka and the flute are more valuable than your guns that tore tens of years of our future, and led us to division, displacement and death?! But what divides the homeland, the diaspora unites as the wheel has turned, and the true patriots can send their messages, even if they have no home but Mars as a homeland. It is mere illusion to take us back or to control us, it is fantasy to enslave, conquer and subjugate us. Yes, it is an illusion no more, while the future is waiting with its blessings and gifts, and we will not hesitate to answer its call.
But we keep a little heartbreak, lest this nation be emptied of its generations and of its builder. This beauty is worthy to be added to the historical accumulation of building our Yemen, which had to embrace history and civilization in our cities that preceded the world. It is time, once and a thousand times, for the war to stop. The time has come for this worn-out and oppressed nation to revive and make their own future, and to set their objective conditions in line with the future and its requirements.
It is also a shame, within this ecstasy, that we spend our lives, wasting our talents looking for a home gas cylinder, or 20 liters of fuel! These wrong messages that you send to the vast majority, will only increase their determination and strength, that they deserve a better country and better leaders. The time for the radical view of people as fellows, the time for music as an abomination, and women as a sin, has gone forever.
We will live, and we can, we will not be defeated by this era of tyranny and levy, and we are not a herd in the stockyard of anyone. It is true that this musical night that will mark the glorious journey of the Yemenis, does not tolerate politics and politicization, but it has its unique, eloquent messages, which if the leaders miss, the people will not miss it. It is additional episode in rebuilding the skeleton of the broken Yemeni nation, in uniting and in saying what politics and its mortal stooges have failed to do.
