The people of Raymah are available all over Yemeni governorates. You can distinguish them by the kindness of their hearts, their generous morals, and their tolerant looks.
You do not need more than a short visit for a few days to uncover the secrets of those values that are inherent in its people, as you wander through the heavens of Raymah with its heights, green valleys, and the uniqueness of its homes scattered on mountains. Such combination of beauty will definitely seduce you and showers you with hospitality, love, and intimacy, as one of the unique divine gifts.
Raymah is not only a picturesque and charming hidden nature in a remote area as if it is a valuable treasure for fear of banditry, absurdity, greed and injustice, but beyond that, it is an open archaeological museum that hangs high. Its mountain peaks are adorned with palaces characterized by their unique architectural style. With your astonishment when you watch each of them, questions and ideas follow in your imagination about the contexts that established that pattern of architecture in those rugged and towering sites, about the daring determination that clung to that nature, and chose it, instead of the flat plains below.
Raymah seemed as if it was on a noble mission to make the creative and brilliant Yemeni man; Those towering mountains have become obedient and viable not only for life, but also as if they were tamed to be a paradise.
But as you leave it, something of its mysterious and supernatural beauty catches you. What kind of biography stands behind that outpost, and what kind of history is that that hangs people on the outskirts of the downhills?!
Nonetheless, that haste and flight is not due to one factor, as we might like to imagine. The Yemeni fear of the plains does not apply to its rule here; Because we are not only facing fortresses and castles, but rather a pattern of Himyarite construction adorned with plaster and mashrabiyas that cannot be separated from the nature that is compatible with.
Here, the plea remains obligatory, to follow the example of our ancestors in preserving this heritage that made our villages open museums that testify to the depth and originality of this country's civilization.
Therefore, when you visit Raymah, you see the Siamese twinning, between the picturesque nature and the exceptional society, so you easily realize how the Raymi man derived from the mountains their hardness, and from the waters softness and purity, and from the trees their loyalty, luxury and generosity, and from the architecture its splendor, originality and eternity.
As soon as you arrive at Raymah, you are then the guest of everyone, a guest on their kindness, the breadth of their hearts, and the gifts of their land. You feel that you are among your family and loved ones whose bright image we have read about in the tales of expatriates and travelers, so that it has not been affected by statute of limitations or ingratitude and denial of times.
As you wander among the gardens of Raymah, you will be amazed by the details and characteristics of the place and the people, the nature of its remote location, its difficult geography in one hand, and its deprivation of the services of the successive authorities throughout the past decades of the life of the Republic on the other hand.
A paradox worthy of contemplation and study accompanies you: It showcases the images of pioneers from the sons of Raymah, who made their creative imprints, and registered their presence in the heart of the national scene, along the arduous journey of the struggle of Yemeni men and women for emancipation, modernization, citizenship and development.
How about that bliss if it is closer than your sleeping pillow! It calls for us to launch another appeal to stimulate domestic tourism and encourage it, by taking Raymah as a destination for our tourist attractions.
Given that all the authorities, regardless of their diversity and diversity, abandoned their duties tIt was only three days' visit, but it's actually more than that. If we calculated it with emotions and that magnificence that is attached to the soul and does not leave it. As for when we went to this destination, to escape from the routine of our exhausting work and its deposits, yes, the destination is you, Raymah!
"We are strangers in our homeland" is a saying that we always repeat when we want to enjoy our time, vacation and recuperation outside Yemen.
owards their citizens and their interests, it is imperative that we re-consider what we intend and are capable of, and what serves the Yemenis and improves their condition, at a low cost on the public level.
It was magnificent three days, which made us get accustomed to beauty, as if we were free of distress from the anxieties of life and its burdens, when it throws your burden in the bosom of nature, so it opens its chest to you with an unparalleled welcome. It is an experience of taming the feelings of pain, and medicine without a blade, but with the hands of a skilled surgeon.. That is Raymah.
There is also something that cannot be ignored, because it is at the heart of this wonderful journey of ours. It is really surprising to see the adoration of the Raymi man for his homeland, which is pure love far from the impurities of fanaticism and its afflictions, in all its forms, as a link attached to the episodes of Raymi’s love for his country in its broader context.
And he is in his pure affection with Raymah, as if he is aware of the priceless jewel in his hands. To honor this love, for our collective conscience, lies in human communication. In the visits of Yemenis to their Yemeni brothers and the feeling of closeness to each other. These times of alienation must leave, just as the primary responsibility of the de facto authorities remains, to end their hegemony and symbolic violence over the movement and communication of Yemeni women and men and to lift the artificial restrictions to control their movement within their country.
We also saw the young generations in Raymah, who decided to embark on modernization, by focusing on education, abandoning seclusion in traditions, and renouncing tribal fanaticism, supported by the Yemeni expatriate community that contributed and continues to subsidize to the development and urbanization. It is a long circle of social solidarity that late President Ibrahim Al-Hamdi had planted its seeds in what was called at the time cooperative councils.
Raymah, in what it is as a modern environment, represents a unique model for placing the individual as the basis and strength of development. Therefore, the policy of President Al-Hamdi in the seventies found intermittent success, as the rational authority met with creative social efforts and the societal contribution of all Yemenis for the renaissance and development of their areas.
And in one of the distant high peaks, we observed an additional living evidence, as we saw the equipment of the road construction units that were transported in the early seventies of the last century, and they remained witness that a real state for the Yemenis passed through here. At the same, it reminds us of another state that assassinated this dream, to completely and flagrantly abandon its role and duties, and chose - instead of all that - destruction, bullying, collection by force and various forms of coercion and intimidation.
In conclusion, all words of thanks and gratitude do not fulfill Raymah and its people, even some of their rights, headed by the honorable friend, Mansour Abu Al-Fadl, who showered us with his generosity. I also thank all the hosts for their hospitality, kindness, and virtues of the people of Paradise.
